Mizrachi went wire-to-wire to capture the big win in Calgary. The three-time WSOP bracelet winner, who final tabled a prelim event earlier in the Series, leaves Western Canada over $85,000 CAD richer. Grinder won a prelim event at WPT DSPT Malta in February.

Little did Mizrachi know that he was actually predicting the future when he tweeted this out on Day 1 of the Main Event:

Mizrachi is one of the most successful tournament poker players to ever take a seat on the felt. Winner of two WSOP Poker Players Championships, Grinder burst onto the poker scene back in 2004 where his wild play and spot-on reads saw him take the World Poker Tour by storm, leading to a pair of WPT titles in 2005 and 2006.

The Grinder admits to being re-focused, spending more time in the gym and leaving the party scene behind, well, except for when he wins a big event! Poker professionals beware as we very well once again be witnessing the return of The Grinder!
