The Fox singing competition, hosted by Nick Cannon, returned to screens earlier in 2022 and has seen the likes of Gopher, Hummingbird, Robo Girl, Venus Flytrap and many more unmasked so far.
Now, ahead of the semifinals, there are only two more new costumes to take to the stage in front of panelists Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg and Nicole Scherzinger.
Due to a format change for this season only one celebrity has made it through unmasked each week, whereas in previous years there have been more.
So far on The Masked Singer Season 8 there have been two, three-week-long rounds, with Harp and the Lambs securing their spots in the semifinals by winning their respective rounds.
November 23 is the third week of the third and final round, so whoever wins Wednesday’s episode will join previous winners Harp, who fans think is Glee actress Amber Riley, and the Lambs, who viewers believe are “Hold On” hitmakers Wilson Phillips, in the semis.
Newsweek has everything you need to know about the new costumes on The Masked Singer, including the clues that have been revealed and who fans think they might be.
Who Is Scarecrow on The Masked Singer?
Scarecrow will take to the stage for the first time during The Masked Singer’s November 23 “Fright Night” episode.
In photos from the spookily themed edition, the Scarecrow can be seen with a pumpkin for a head and is wearing a witches hat. They also have straw coming from the sleeves of their shirt and the bottom of their trousers.
On The Masked Singer’s official Instagram account Scarecrow’s first clue was revealed as a crow.
In the comment section underneath the post fans gave their first predictions, with some suggesting the costume and clue were a nod to Smashing Pumpkin’s lead singer Billy Corgan.
Others suggested singer Michelle Branch or The Vampire Diaries actor Ian Somerhalder.
Who Is Sir Bug a Boo on The Masked Singer?
Sir Bug a Boo’s costume is an elaborate affair, featuring a cat’s head, green fur and long blue claws. The character is wearing a tall top hat, colorful balloon pants and a smart jacket, as well as a bow tie, which is his first clue.
Some viewers have predicted Sir Bug a Boo could be Modern Family actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who has released bow tie collections in the past, while others suggested Panic! at the Disco lead singer Brendon Urie.
On Wednesday night, Scarecrow and Sir Bug a Boo will take on last week’s winner Snowstorm in the hopes of making it to the semis, which will take place the very next night on November 24.
Snowstorm beat Bride, who was unmasked as wrestler and singer Chris Jericho, and Avocado, who was unmasked as comedian Adam Carolla, during the November 16 episode, which boasted a “Comedy Roast Night” theme.
So far, the costumes that have been revealed this season, in addition to Bride and Avocado, have been George Foreman as the Venus Flytrap, George Clinton as Gopher, Joey Lawrence as the Walrus, Le’Veon Bell as the Milkshake, Kat Graham as Robo Girl, Jerry Springer as Beetle, Gloria Gaynor as Mermaid, Mario Cantone as Maize and Daymond John as the Fortune Teller.
Also unmasked were Barry Williams, Christopher Knight and Mike Lookinland as the Mummies, Montell Jordan as Panther, Jeff Dunham as Pi-Rat, Chris Kirkpatrick as the Hummingbird, Eric Idle as the Hedgehog and William Shatner as the Knight.
The Masked Singer airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
