I do what I’m asked to do.
Of course she was aware of it. She thought it was rather stupid first of all. Her first reaction was, I’m not dumb enough to get pregnant, and that really sums it up. You raise your children a certain way, you raise them to understand the importance of a decision like that, and the responsibility you have, and the self-respect you have to have for yourself. She thought it was a little ludicrous when each different position was explained to her. She has very little respect for the media consequently.
I don’t think that’s what Rich Bond said. He said you have to look at what she stands for because she does advise him and they’ve said that she advises him so it is fair game to look at what she’s written and what she stands for because they have said she advises him. He criticized her because of her liberal stands, her radical stands on some issues. She is an adviser to her husband, which is fine, but as such, you need to look where she stands to understand the kind of advice he’s getting, the kind of people he will have around him. And his [Bond’s] criticism is that her advice is very radical.
The things I’ve read, I must admit, I have not studied Hillary Clinton and what she stands for. The things that I have read, profiles I have read, it would be of some concern.
When they lied about them I thought it was rather inappropriate.
Not her background, it’s what she had written. He [Bond] didn’t look at how she was raised, he didn’t look at her parents. He looked at what she has written as a professional woman that guides her opinion-making process. What she has done. That’s totally different. That’s not personal. Don’t you understand that? There’s a total difference between what you have written as a professional and how you were brought up.
No it’s not. You don’t know what people have picked up from their parents. What education lessons that they have gotten from their parents. What was done to me and my family was basically a great deal of untruths. And I don’t think anyone should have to go through what Dan and I went through in 1988, which was a pack of lies. And they continue today and that’s not right. It’s sleazy and its very, very irresponsible journalism.
Nobody has complained about how active an adviser Hillary Clinton is.
What more do you want? The president of the United States says not only in the Oval Office but in a cabinet meeting, “no discussion, he’s on the ticket,” and yet the press won’t believe him. It’s Washington that feeds on itself. It happens every time. It’s a rather interesting phenomenon to watch. I know this town. It’s one of the most fickle towns in the world, so you leave town and go with people who truly understand what’s important in this nation. You certainly don’t get it from inside the Beltway pap.
